Meet the Maker
Julia Pagán wears all the hats, literally. As the sole proprietor behind Julia Pagán Handmade Hats, she designs, constructs, and sells all of her marvelous handmade pieces. This San Francisco native travelled to NYC to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) where she earned her fashion design and millinery degree in 2005. A year later, after falling in love with the charm, beauty, and hospitality of Charleston; she decided to remain in the Holy City. In 2012, she opened up shop in the Avondale Point Shopping district. After many wonderful years in her shop, the maker has made the choice to be an online only retailer. But don’t fret Charleston locals, she is still open and available for in person consultations and fittings, just make an appointment through the Contact page on this website.
